Hello, Homies! It's ya Coolidge girl, back at it again!
This week was pretty crazy! We had transfers and Sister Macharsky had to go home (may she rest in peace) and I have a new companion! Her name is Sister Gibson, she's so cute and a lots of fun! Her first Area was Coolidge so she already knows a lot of people which is awesome, she adjusted super fast. She was the SMS sister (Social media Sister, kind of like the AP's but Sisters) and she's excited to do the work and get out! And APPARENTLY she's lives in Lehi and her siblings go to Lehi High School, its a small world (after all). All the wards in our stake are changing and a new ward is being added to Coolidge WHICH MEANS... were over two wards again... YAY! Coolidge is growing, FAST!
FUNNY STORIES:
• This ones called Sister Babcock continues to embarrass herself once again! We were doing some less active member stops and we decided to stop by this one family. We've seen them multiple times and they know us and recognize us. But we assumed they didn't know the wards were splitting so we were going to stop by and tell them the juice! We knock on the door and someone answers. Side note: in AZ almost everyone has metal screen doors for dust storms, cooler weather, or security. And when your outside you can't see inside when people open doors, so you just talk to a door. But anyway, he opens the door and I can't see him, but we start talking to him and he sounded super uncomfortable and confused. So that made me a bit confused. But we tell him about the meeting for the split and expect changes. He comes closer to the door and I see it's NOT the person we were looking for! BUT FOR SOME REASON I KEPT GOING ANYWAY!! BECAUSE IM TO FAR IN, ITS TO LATE TO TURN BACK NOW! And I keep talking about the split wards. And we leave and I turn to Sister Gibson... and I'm all like "that wasn't him, I had no idea who that was" and we just start laughing, it was so embarrassing. No wonder why he was so confused!!
•Apparently I taught entire Word of wisdom In my sleep Wednesday night so that was funny. Sister Gibson heard me and she's like lol.
• I taught Alex how to dab. Alex is Jenny and Cody's 2 year old and he's so funny! Someone's got to teach him!
• Brother Crosby asked us to meet his 16 year old brother in law. So we went over to meet him (his name is Jr.) And Sister Crosby roasted him the entire time! It was so funny, apparently he knows all the Fortnight dances and was trying to show us how to Fortnight dance. So Jr. and Brother Crosby were fortnight dancing and it was so funny and awkward!
COUNT YOUR MANY BLESSINGS:
•Jessica and Mike attended church this Sunday! Sort of, they had yo watch it over Zoom . But they took the effort! Woot woot!
• Sister Gibson and Hamilton were looking for a member to cut their hair, but we couldn't think of anyone. But then all of the sudden Sister Nevitt came up to us and offered to cut our hair for free!
•Sister Gibson bought us the Mexican street Popsicles
•We got to go to Casa Grande ruins! And I bought a card set with desert birds! Yay!
•I also bought some bananas and chocolate snacks! So yummy!
SPIRITUAL THOUGHT:
• I've been studying about the process of Repentance its been appearing in my studies unintentionally. WHAT! But I was reading Mosiah 27:24 it says
"For, said he, I have repented of my sins, and have been redeemed of the Lord; behold I am born of the Spirit."
I think it's so cool that through Christ's Atonement we can receive a remission of our sins and grow closer to Him!
