Hola mi friends and family!
Sorry it's been a while! :) Christmas week was so much fun! We found a new friend named Ezren whos super cool! We found her because she had a new pair of Jordan's on (thank you Mitchell for your Jordan addiction, now I have knowledge I can use) which was super cool!
This year we spent Christmas with the Kirkum family, just imagine National Lampoons Christmas, but with missionaries, that's how it went. That was our Christmas! We played Scottlands yard with her twin boys which was so much fun! It's a decective game, and we lost... rip! We also got bashed... again............. yay. We also had chocolate for breakfast on Christmas day it was great, Dove Dark chocolate kind of great!
We also had Zone conference and this one was extra cool, because all the missionaries got to go to the temple and do endowments. Imagine over 100 missionaries in the Celestial room. It was such a special experience, something I'll never forgot.
FUNNY STORIES:
• I've been teaching Sister church about "gen Z". It's been fun, I taught her how to build Legos, what Martinelli's is, AND I got to tell her what the Office is! It's been a blast! We somehow got on the conversation of Paw Patrol, yu know thr Disney Jr. show. And she just looked at me so confused. And her face lights up! She thought paw patrol was Papa troll! Like troll who's a dad!!! We both died laughing!!
• There's this Sweet old lady that lives next to us. And we always say hi to her when we pass by. But a few days ago we were walking to our apartment and she's walking toward us and we say "hi, how are you" ya know as one does and she freaks out a little bit, she's all like who said that! And me and Sister Church look at eachother like uh?? Then she looks at us and said did you hear that someone asked "how are you". Were all like yyeereaaaaahhhhhh, sure... them she continues to talk to us, and we can't understand every other work she says. We couldn't tell if she was on something or had a mental struggle.
• We're teaching a family of recent converts who's from Jamaica. The younger kids have a harder time pronouncing my name so they just call me Bad Cop... lol. So I guess I'm Sister Bad Cop now.
COUNT YOUR MANY BLESSINGS:
• Our friend Merlyn came to church!
• We found Ezren!
• Sister Kirkum gave us 12 mini jars of jam, and there the strangest flavors!
• We were able to deep clean our apartment.
• We got to go to 5 and below!! And Goodwill!
SPIRITUAL THOUGHT:
•SO we didn't have any dinners for Christmas, and we were a little nervous about it. I mean who wants to be alone on Christmas! And I was praying, and praying that we would find one. Everyone we asked either said no, or they'll be out of town! But then... Christmas Eve we get a text from the Kirkums and she says. "Good morning Sisters. I feel prompted to ask you if your doing anything for Christmas dinner?" And me and Sister Church Both jumped for joy! The Lord had answered our prayers!! He really does answer our prayers in not the way we want it, but in the way we need it.
