Hey Friends and mi Familia!
This week has been up and DOWN. I've never had so many doors slammed on my face before! HA But it's been good. Were teaching two new people Mike and Jessica who are just SO steller! It's interesting how we met them. So our teaching pool split when are Area split so we were only teaching like 2 people. RIP But were starting to have it go back up. But we've been trying a new finding method, we'll take a walk around neighborhoods (in the 103° weather) and just TALK with everyone we see. But one night we weren't having any success and were about to go home... UNTIL I heard a familiar sound... THE OFFICE THEME SONG!!
I zoom around and start walking toward the sound and shout. "IS THAT THE OFFICE THEME SONG!?" And the man gets all excited and says yes and we start talking about our favorite episodes from the office and then start relating it to the gospel! So that's how we found Mike! And Jessica (his wife) is from the same area Sister Macharskys from (Maryland) and so there BOTH laughing about that. Long story short were teaching them now! And there SO ready and SO elect. Were all excited!!
Funny stories:
•SO we went to the Sports park and did a little plan of salvation/ scripture chalk art thingy to maybe peak people's curiosity. Since most people here have never heard of it. And we didn't think anyone would text us about it because we left our number by the drawings. And someone texted us... and this is how it went...not word for word, but the just of it.
○"I seen your chalk scribe. Thanks I came across it at the right time. Lifted my sprits.
Keep up the good work lightworker"
●"Anytime!
if you don't mind us asking, which one did you see?"
○"God's plan"
●"Yeah! God loves you, and he is aware of you! Do you want to learn more about God's plan?'
○"I'm a starseed. earth angel. Yes I'm always interested in God plan."
○"Yes tell me God's plan?
And were all like, what's a srarseed? WAH We're so confused. We'll keep messaging them to see kinda where there at, but me and Sister Macharsky agreed... we don't know what to do!
•I took Sister Herndon to Watershed as a treat. We walk in and look at the flavors, ya know as one does. And a guy walks in and starts looking to. We let him go ahead of us. And he's at the counter as the workers scooping the ice cream and he turns around and says "I'm Mormon" really quickly, then turns back around, and we were so confused. So we started to talk to him about ice cream and he's all like "I'm a Mormon I've already been baptized". And me and Sister Herndon look at eachother so confused. So then were all like "is there a time we can stop by and get to know you and your family more" and he's all like "my name is LD, have a good day" and he leaves. I was so confused, we were all having different conversations in our head!
•Sister Hendrix had an emergency transfer, so she's no longer with us... rest in peace big shawty. The new Sister that came in her name is Sister Hamilton, and I thought that sounded familiar. Then she asked me if I knew a Sister named Sister Nordfelt (my MTC companion). And I was all like "YEAH" she was my MTC comp. Apparently there best friends! WHAT!!
•We volunteered at the food bank. And apparently the Sisters stopped going all the sudden and we didn't know why and they missed the Sisters there. So when we arrived at the food bank everyone was cheering and clapping and WE had NO idea what was going on. And everyone was coming up to us to shake our hands. It was so funny, we were so clueless!
• So the food bank is run by another Christian religion and Sister Macharsky thought it would be fun to play general conference. And everything someone came into the room we were playing it in they would say "AMEN" or "Oh my goodness I love your podcast, what's it called". It was so fun!

•Me and Sister Herndon had these amazing tacos at dos amigos food truck.
•I got to eat some yummy tacos from Sister Williams, SO good!!
Spiritual thought:
•I don't have much time to write, but here's one scripture I've been focusing on this week. It's in Moroni 7:47 it says
"But charity is the pure love of Christ, and it endureth forever; and whoso is found possessed of it at the last day, it shall be well with him."
What's something you can do this week to have Charity?
Also sorry I didn't have time to spell check today, forgive me if there's a little words here and there that don't make sense. :)
