life after Covid

Hola Friends and Family. Guess what! I'm out of quarantine! The dusty air had never smelled so sweet! Speaking of dusty I had my first Haboob. Sister Hendrix opened the door during the storm so I can look at it (which wasn't very smart of us) and tons of dust and rain blew in, its was all like "WOOoooSShh" it was crazy and we got all wet!
Also I learned that tarantulas live in Arizona, and theres been multiple sightings... especially in Coolidge..................

ANYWAY, Cheryl is still going strong her baptism date is September 16th, please keep her in your prayers. The devil is strong, but Cheryl is stronger! She's so cute, she'll call us and be so excited to tell us the things she's reading In the Book of Mormon. For example, last week we taught her about the 10 commandments and she didn't really get what I meant to keep the Sabbath day Holy and why we don't shop or work. And she called us yesterday and she's all like "Girls, I get it now, I get why we need to keep the Sabbath day holy, the Lord revealed it to me" and were all screaming together! She's the best! The Lord really knows what He's doing!

FUNNY STORIES:
• So you know that Haboob I mentioned. Well ya know, we opened the door, and a BEE flew in! And fun fact: Sister Macharsky is terrified of bees by that I mean TERRIFIED! So she grabs the bug cup and throws it at me and she's all like "I'm not doing that". But I also hate bees, so I'm standing their like, crap, somebody's got to do this. The bee then flies on the ceiling, I grab a chair and catch it in the cup. BUT I'm to short to slide a paper under the cup. Then, Sister Macharsky comes back around the corner with a vacuum in hand and she's all like "aw naw not tonight Shawty" and tries to vacuum it up, but she's also to short! Then Sister Hendrix comes and saves the day! She slides that paper underneath the cup, and releases the bee into the crazy dust storm outside. It was so great!

• So we have to keep the mission nurse up to date on how we're feeling and the nurse that picked up, her name was Sister Zinamon! Such a cool last name BTW! We tried pronouncing her name back to her and I accidentally called her Sista' Zinmanmon. And she started laughing I felt so bad! I completely butcherd it! So now when we call her we call her Sister Zinmanmon.

• This week we had a video call with our friends the Blanchards, and I kid you not their the coolest people I've ever met, ah so cool! And we were teaching them via video call. And ya know we had Covid and I was feeling a bit nauseous for a couple days before and earlier that day. When we were teaching them (I was feeling nauseous) and it was my turn to speak my companions turn to me I'm all like "Excuse me Cody *looks at Cody*... and Jenny *looks at Jenny*..., but I have to go lay down" and I slowly get up and run to the toilet! Luckily I didn't puke or gag, but man I was so close. And I took some medicine and began to feel better.

• So Sister Macharky is a food science major, and a steller cook! She makes the BEST chicken! And earlier she was meal prepping, specfically cooking chicken, you know as one does. And Fun fact: Sister Hendrix is a vegetarian. And Sister Hendrix walks in and says "oh my goodness *sniffs*, Sister Mcharsky that smells so good. What are you cooking? Can I have some?" And Sister Macharsky is all like "chicken, I'm cooking chicken". And me and Sister Hendrix look at each other and she goes bright red. And were all like "AAAEEEYYY, WAIT A MINUTE!! Your supposed to be a vegan"!!

COUNT YOUR MANY BLESSINGS:
• Sister Kitchen bought us Salad and go for dinner! And it was pretty good! There frozen lemonade though, is even better!!
• We were able to finish our 2000 piece puzzle in 2 DAYS!!
• I was able to finish my scripture principles, which only took me 3 WEEKS TO DO!!
• There’s going to be a zone in Coolidge!! Woot woot we're so excited!!!
• We went to In and Out!!! It was sooooo good!! The first time I had fast food in a month! HA

SPIRITUAL THOUGHT:
Elder Six asked me to give a training for District council and I was all like 👁👄👁*bruh* , are you sure you want to do that, are you REALLY SURE? But regardless I gave the training it was on Repentance, Commitment and Conversion. And let me just say, the power of prayer is real. I was so nervous, because I've been in the mission for only three weeks, I'm still trying to get to know everyone, and I was giving a training one something I didn't know very well. The training started off a little rocky, but as I let the spirit lead in was able to teach what needed to be heard.
"The Spirit shall be given unto you by the prayer of faith; and if ye receive not the Spirit ye shall not teach” (D&C 42:14).
